Well, the lab I send my B&W to has a Noritsu (must learn the model number) that I don't like. Although it does very dense blacks, which I really like, on high contrast edges (eg white hanging line against gray (tree :-)) it prints a red fringe. They have tracked it down to the scanner but have not found a solution. Are you familiar with this, William?

They need to run an alignment service on it.
This is a technical service call. What has happened is the scanner lens is slightly off axis, and you are seeing a chromatic aberration.
Are you using black and white film or monochromatic film?
