I recently bought a used Nikon D1,Canon S800 printer and
some computers goodies to shoot schooling horse jumping shows
alomg with my Pentax film cameras.
I am very happy(as are the clients)of the 8x10 printouts from the
canera/printer combo(with minor Photoshop adjustments).The 128 meg
card gives me 90 hi res jpg's,2000x1340, and 1 battery gives me one
card worth of use(one always on charge).I know people will say the
printouts are not as good as a film enlargements which is probably
true,but in the world of today-instant this ,instant that-it helps
for business.The people who buy from me want the pictures now,not
next month when i see them again.For the most part they(and I )are
pleased with the quality and they can take home an instant memory of
their little girls first horse show.To see their smiles does make me
happy.
on't worry film labs,SLR's are still in my future.
