Coming out of "Lurk Mode" briefly to ask a question of all you geniuses. ;-) I have a "Brain Dead" F28-80/3.5-4.5, has no idea what mode it's in and won't autofocus. After dis-asembly all of the contacts, wipers, springs, etc are in good shape and contacting as they should, PC board continuity is OK. That leaves the IC Chip which is marked OKI 7X02 C7109-05. Anyone have a clue what this chip might be? If not I'll short the proper contacts to make the camera think it's a fixed f/4.0 lens and try that.
