So here's another point of view.  We replaced my work CRT (19 inches).
 It was high quality some 5 years ago, but getting old and a bit
flacky in one corner.  (Mind you, it was still great for spreadsheets,
emails, and powerpoint.)

We bought Samsung 910T's, 19 inch flat screens.  I can't believe the
change in image quality on my wallpaper.  I've got some personal
photos and the horse-shoe bend panorama on the play list.  The deep,
rich blacks really give the pictures a new 3 dimensional quality I
haven't seen before, on my laptop or on my basement home computer.

I'm thinking of spending $300+ just to get a Samsung 910T for home.
