TTL OTF metering that would correct during the exposure was a Canon patent. Surprisingly, Canon never used it in a camera but licensed it to Olympus instead in an exchange for an Olympus patent they wanted. Such patent swaps are common among Japanese companies.
I don't think this is correct. It was a Minolta patent later used by Olympus etc...
