Film being the least expensive part of shooting, it was not unusual that out of ten roll of exposed (used) film, some of my rolls only had 20 or so shots on them. As some have advised, changing film during lulls is smart. But hobbyists and amateurs almost always want to wring the last frame out of a roll before changing.
