Colin. I'd say for all-round purposes these lenses are all too long (28mm)
and too slow (3.2 and above).
I would say a perfect all-ound lens - for me - would be a 18-50mm F.2.8
(sigma), that is for an APS-sized senor. For full frame a 24-90mm or a
28-70mm would be great, preferably F.2.8, if possible.
For the kind of shots you show, a wide angel would give you very fine DOF
and anything would be sharp at F.8, almost regardless of the distance. I
have stoped buying lenses slower than F.2.8, because of the limitations a
slow lens provides.

Emne: Which mid-range zoom do you prefer?

I'm looking for amid-range zoom. Something for small-event use.
(When I shot a Sunday School program and a ladies Christmas Tea
a few weeks ago, changing lenses was a hassle.

Please rate them as to feel, optical quality, and your overall preference

1. 28-105 f/4.0-5.6 FA (p)
2. 28-105 mm f/4-5.6 FA (New )
3. 28-105 mm f/3.2-4.5 (Newer)
4. 28-135 mm f/4.0 A
5. 35-105 mm f/3.5 A
6. 35-105 mm f/4.0-5.6 F
7. 35-135 mm f/3.5-4.5 A
8. 35-135 mm f/3.5-4.5 F

Or is there a wider lens that you'd use for something like this?
Something faster than the kit 18-55?

Collin
