As Paul mentioned you have to quit Photoshop, go into the printer utility and delete / recreate the printer. I can cope with that but the real kicker is that if I switch the printer off when it has the matte ink installed, it won't be recognised as such when I turn it back on so I have to swap the carts again.

Swapping the blacks wastes a fair bit of ink and I wouldn't want to have to do it any more than I really needed to.
