What's all the hub-bub over this lens for?
Nathan's camera (definitely NOT my first choice) has a M100/2.8 for
$200. Or does the 105 have the equivalent of "magic glass"??
If you had a 105/2.8 & a 100/2.8 side-by-side... why'd you choose one
over the other??

For the info RE: your experience with 500mm f8 mirror lens... & a nice
website.
400 ISO film is pretty much all I buy (the gal at the drugstore is gonna
screw it up anyway). Fuji seems to survive the best. But that's ME, in
my area.... other's may have different results/preferences.
One lister went to the Superbike meet. I got some kick-booty shots with
Fuji 800 & a 70~200 zoom with a Kiron 2x adaptor. Quite a few shots with
the rider juuusst at the apex of their jump. I was amazed that a
semi-manual system could do so well. (Program Plus).
Someone from the list warned me that some 500mm f8's are really f11's
(& offered to sell me some Ukranian glass). I dunno, I'm still kicking
tires. We'll see. (Ever get a new tripod for the 600mm?)
BTW.... what's the story with the Gold LX? Surely it's not Gold gold?
It has Titanium Nitride coating? Polished Bronze plating? Or actual 10k
gold??
