Jostein, I'd say you got very good value for your money. Since Feb 2005, I've sold all three of those items (SMC Pentax 500/4.5, RC-A 1.4xL and RC-A 2xL), for a total cost to the buyers of $1,251 (US), incl. shipping, not incl. tax. I'd be interested to hear how it/they perform on MF. I found the 500/4.5 with either of the converters provided consistently sharp photos with good colour and contrast on my Pentax 35mm film gear, but way too much colour aberration on the Canon EOS 20D dSLR on which I used it/them for a while. I sold the SMC Pentax 500/4.5 plus an older Canon EF 80-200/2.8 L to buy a new EF 70-200/2.8 L IS (which I broke after one week - thank goodness its repair/replacement is covered by my credit card's insurance).
