Hi Paul,

There are *two* baffles between the rear element and the removable parts, but as far as I can make out, they're both held in place by glue rather than soldering or welding.

Available options are being investigated...:-)

Jostein,
I think the catch with this is a baffle just forward of the lens
mount tube. This (I think) restricts the image circle, certainly when I played around with my SMCT 500/4.5 I couldn't get anything much larger than the normal for 35mm. However there were a very few 500/4.5 lenses modified to P67 mount by Pentax, so the lens is capable of enough coverage. I would
guess that the baffle restricts internal reflections or something.

So what I'm saying is that it is possible, but it's more than just making a new lens mount tube. Happily though, the lens mount tube does mean that the differing mount distances for PK and P645 aren't a problem. Which is just as well, because you can't usually chop 20mm or so off the end of a lens!

Now it's time to figure out how to convert the thing to P-645
mount...:-)

A smart guy like you will be able to figure that out...

Har!

Sounds like a great deal, Jostein. Congrats.

Thanks Frank.
Thing is, I've seen threads over at photo.net describing conversion to
Nikon, Mamiya 645, Hasselblad 6x6 and even Pentax 67, so I know the
image circle will suffice. But I should have written "find someone who
can do it" rather than "figure out how to...". :-)
