Until about a year ago, when I last looked, SP's and SP 500's and 1000's
were going for about $125Cdn at used camera stores, a bit less at pawn
shops.  I don't know why the price went up so much in the interim.  Of the
larger local shops that have a used department, only two have a screwmount
section to speak of, and one of them went bankrupt a couple o' months ago.
The other one was always a bit more expensive, but maybe without the
competition around...

Yeah, I agree, $200 for an SP, even in excellent condition, is a lot.
Luckily, I have as many bodies as I need, at least for now.
