I used to own a Sigma 70-300 APO Macro Super. it was absolutely awful at the long end. It was great up to about 200mm and past that the image degraded terribly. I still cringe thinking about it :-) Mine was probably not the most current version of the lens so there may have been some improvement in the later model (one would hope..) -- Wendy Beard Ottawa Canada
