Thanks... to tell the truth it looks pretty close to the way I remember
it... you call it a dark burgundy?... as in dark burgundy wine?... I admit
it's a deep red... I attempted to remove most of the blueness from the
white, which I attributed to the heavy overcast... as opposed to the film...

Yes, it does. In fact the barn looks a dark burgundy due to what I
gather to be a blue/purple influence on the red.
I didn't pick it up in the white and the fall leaves could easily
disguise it. Plus, I've already tested your "Velvia" patience.
