????? When was that? The first Canon aperture priority camera I'm aware of is the AV-1 from 78 or 79. The first aperture priority camera was the Pentax ES, which incidentally was the first slr with an electronic shutter, from 1971.

Nikon had aperture priority the year after Pentax did, with the Nikkormat EL in 1972.
