Don't sell the Pentax SMC-DA lenses short, even the lowly 18-55 is
quite a good performer (FAR, FAR better than the Nikon or Canon 18-55's).

Interestingly, Samsung denies that the lens is a rebadged Pentax DA
18-55. Of course, it clearly is. Samsung isn't proud of having the
Pentax name on stuff?
I wonder if the lens will have the same SMC coating.
I prefer the blue metal ring to the florescent green ring of the DA
lenses.

I suspect it's both a rebadged SMC-DA and not one. Same design,
Samsung-built and with Schneider coatings.
