OK let get this clear. Older viewfinder fitting on the camera: Left to right is narrower. Front to back the groove is wider.
Newer Camera viewfinder fitting: Left to right is a bit wider. Front to back the groove is a bit narrower. In most cases an old attachment can be made to fit both. A bit tight on the new a bit sloppy on the old. Most new attachments will fit on older cameras a bit loosely. Powell
