During my ongoing overhaul of a Spotmatic, I've learned two things about Pentax repair that might apply to your situation. First, there's a chance that the shutter curtain doesn't have enough tension on it to release the mirror after travelling. The second thing I learned is that every time I think I have the problem sorted out, I find out I don't have the problem sorted out and it will take me at least three more attempts at troubleshooting before I even know what the root of my problem is. At this point I put the camera away and have a beer.
Seriously, any time I've asked questions about repairing a camera on this list, I'm usually inundated with links to informative sites, hints, tips, and on at least one occasion I received an off-list response that included some very specific instructions along with a schematic! So here's my real contribution to your shutter problem: You might want to check out the Classic Camera Repair Forum http://www.kyphoto.com/classics/forum/ On 1/18/06, Grunt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hello, > I have recently become a Pentax M-series collector... on a budget.
