Apparently, the current Pentax strategy is: Few, damned and ready.
With a given manufacturing capability, it's better to sell a whole bunch of
cameras to Samsung than going nuts to sell them on the market at decreasing
prices.

Did anyone else notice that the photo's leaked in December were of a
GX-1L, with a slightly different mode dial. Could there be a second
Samsung D-SLR coming soon?
I did. That will probably be the Samsung incarnation of the *istDL, or
of a next DL2.
It appears the GX-1L was announced shortly after the GX-1S. It looks like
an *ist-DL with five AF-sensors instead of three, and a slightly bigger
viewfinder: 96%(0,85x), instead of 95%(0,85x). Unless Pentax announces an
identical *ist-DL2 soon, these would be unique features. Sensor is still
the same...
