No, it needs two clicks on the thumb (or more accurately 'index'-) wheel.
That even makes some sense: it allows you to 'lock' aperture or shutter as
soon as you're happy with it... I think the 'Hyper' part is that you don't
have to change modes...
It feels the same as the Z-1, but I don't have that one with me right now
to make sure...
