Thats correct Bill,the one at GFM.

The pan head was bought for a job to photograph different angles of a biuilding 
near a
conservation 
area. I did vertical pano shots(3 per line,usually 4 lines) so planners could 
do a 3dish
presentation to 
council. I tried a ball head but that head was better suited.

I have the 486RC2 ball head on my mono pod.
That should be sturdy enough then to handle rails.?
