After following this thread for a bit I can see that I am really fortunate with my photo lab.

They still do E-6 in-house. The amount they do has diminished so that they only do it three days a week. I am sure that they can accomodate a rush - but the pricing would have to reflect that. I still provide a good portion of their E-6 business, especially when I travel internationally. They know me well enough that they do go the extra bit to get my stuff done on time. I am allowed the run of the place to include the lab. The ladies in the lab complain when I have not been in the back for a while. I am the only customer invited to their employee Christmas party! You should see the shots I have of that one :-)

Medium format takes a couple of days. B&W, no problem; neither is digital. They even have a kiosk and an online service.

Often enough I have been in there and have seen a customer come in and drop off up to ten disposable cameras. Quite a few times, after finding out how much it will cost, they don't do them all at that time. Being a tourist area - beautiful white-sand beaches, a big college spring-break destination - disposable cameras are seen quite a bit. I have not sat down with the owner and talked about the breakdown of the business.

The Ritz store in the mall closed down this past year. My place is going strong. They are constantly printing. I don't know the trend over the past couple of years though.

I live in a tiny little town in southern Pennslytucky. The nearest

(that I know of) in Hagerstown still does E-6 on a two hour service. Push or pull processing is next day. The next time I'm in there, I'll
ask about their volume and if they have any plans for the future of
that service. After reading this thread, I'm quite curious.

Got any stats for E6 or don't you guys do slide film?
My local lab used to run E6 once a day, sometimes twice a day when
volume was high. Now they run it once a week, and some weeks only
have two or three rolls. I expect them to stop offering the service
in the near future.
