Yes - I wasn't particularly denigrating postcards. I know it's not easy to
be in the right place at the right time, and there are indeed many
good-looking postcards to be had. But surely for most of us the thrill is in
the chase and the discovery, rather than going to a pre-appointed (by
someone else) place & time to take the photo they suggest. Since it is
unlikely to be much different from the standard postcard, why not just buy
the postcard?
