Funny. I remember when the *istD came out. Everyone felt it came out way too
late. But those that bought it loved it. Or at least liked it very, very much.
And bing, bing, bing, people were buying it. And several commented there
wasn't much more they'd want in a camera (for the technology at the time).
And some of us bought it purely because it was the only damned thing that
allowed us to shoot digital with our existing lenses, some of us have even been
been waiting for an improved camera since that time. I only intended mine to be
an interim tool as it wasn't what I was looking for spec wise.
OTOH, I bought it because it was the only camera that allowed me to
shoot digital with my existing lenses, and having spent all that money
the year before last, I am not in the market for another DSLR now. I'm
still working on how to get the best out of this tool for me, 'cause I
can't afford another one. Even if Pentax brings out an
EOS-1-whatever-killer at the same price I paid for the *istD, I'm not
buying it -- as long as my *istD is still working.
What was the question again? Was there a question?
