True in many cases.  Sometimes really nice things are amazingly cheap, 
however.  I pulled out a Spotmatic ES that I bought from a PDML member for 
not very much money last year.  I have a Super Multi Coated Takumar 50mm 
F1.4 mounted on it that I essentially got for free.  The construction of 
that lens is sooooo nice it makes even the limited lenses feel cheap. 

Nice things often are expensive. It's how they get so nice.
