That is actually irrelevant to the issue of whether God exists or not.

It's relevant to the fact that many so-called Christians are hate-filled, nasty, bigots, and it is the height of hypocrisy and arrogance for the whole damned gang to pretend that they're better than other people, or that their religion is better than other religions.

I do in fact know some delightful people who are religious. But they'd still be delightful if they weren't.
