I didn't think I would need to spell it out to you but I don't mind.

If *your* views and consequent actions "don't necessarily represent those of my[your] employer, municipality, nation or race", then neither do the views and consequent actions of individual persons (or even groups of persons) professing adherence to a particular religion necessarily represent that religion or the majority of it's followers.

IOW, you can go about making statements like "that's why (abrahamic) religions are fundamentally evil.", based on the hideous acts of some group of people professing to be of that faith.

But you'd be wrong.

Those persons likely are not representative of that faith, in the same manner that many religions are not representative of the God they profess to worship.
