Evolution is a theory.  Like any other theory, it can be disproven,
and replaced with something that works better.  Given what we know
today, it's what works.  That doesn't mean it's a belief system, it
means it's the best proof we have as to how life on earth has become
what it is today.

Simply saying "it's a belief system, and it's no more or less valid
than any other belief system" doesn't cut it.  One must disprove it
scientifically and rationally, and replace it with a more workable
theory, IMHO.

I think we are in accord here, Tom.  I don't belittle anyone for their
beliefs, nor do I try to change how they feel.
