As for the fossil record, biologists can confidently show a continuous
sequence of transformations for a very large number of transitions,
including the transition from Australopithecines to our own species. The
nature of fossilisation means that they can never show a complete record
for
all species. Can theologians show a complete record of God's activities on
the day he created Adam's earbones?

Nope they can't. And I actually disbelieve the above. It's only accepted as
evidence and proof because they are predisposed to the conclusion they wish
to draw.
