Agreed wholeheartedly. I see this list as a few friends talking over coffee or beer.
If a lot of people complain, how about setting up a parallel "forum" list? People who don't care about OT topics need not subscribe. Those who care sometimes can have it automatically go to a special folder. Those of us who like it the way it is now can have messages from pdml and pdml-forum go to the same folder.
