That pretty much describes any article in the NYT these days. It's not
exactly the Paper of Record anymore.
The author doesn't seem to know that the original Sony Mavica was not a
digital camera at all. It was a still video camera using analog
recording. Canon also made cameras like that. I still have one of the
cameras and a big stack of those tiny floppy disks they used. By
today's standards the image quality is pretty awful.
