I recall doing quite a bit of research on this one last year, and ended up with the Intuos3 6x8 tablet. I don't recall exactly why, though I am quite happy with it.

Same one I have. It's an excellent tablet. I don't have additional space on my desk for the 6x11, but haven't had any problems using the 6x8 with a cinema format display screen.

I have the Intuos2 4" x 5" tablet and I *love* it. I looked at getting a larger one, but, for me at least, the benefit of the smaller one is being able to access the entire pad surface without lifting my wrist or anything.

The only pain in my butt about this device is support for it under Linux. The serial versions are supported, but the USB ones are only "sort of" supported, primarily due to issues within the USB driver architecture within the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels and their driver models, as I've been given to understand the situation.
