I expect the 16-50/2.8 and 50-135/2.8 zooms to be quite good enough for a lot of so-called "pro" work - after all, the FA* 28-70 & 80-200 zooms were outstanding performers. It's interesting that the new lenses don't get called DA*; perhaps that's just too confusing with *ist bodies as well.
