You are partially right about CF cards - many current users of *istD
have them. They could do dual slots for both cards. But on the other
side most of Pentax DSLR users have Ds/Dl variations and SD cards.
For me pressing one button takes much less than two seconds ;-) And
this one Fn button press is the only difference when compared to
using dedicated ISO/WB buttons. And it seems that Fn button will be
used on 645D for ISO/WB switching too.
