Subject: RE: OT: Bergger B&W paper
Hi Bill,
I used some last year when I was doing more printing. I found the type I
was using satisfactory, and with the developer I was using at the time,
the
paper reminded me of 1967-1971 Agfa Brovira. Speed was good, and it
seemed
to have nice development latitude. The paper allowed some manipulation
with hot developer rather nicely - better, for example, that some of the
Ilford I was using. Give it a try ...
Thanks Shel.
I did some noodling around on the web. It looks like for the moment, B&W
material is still fairly available.
I was never big on Kodak's paper, though they had one, I don't recall the
name, which when selenium toned looked a lot like burnished leather. It was
quite beautiful.
