Hehe, I can't really spend $150 to see if I want to spend $200. I thought about that lens before, but I'd rather slap a 1.4x converter on my A* 200mm f2.8 and get a 280mm f4 that will undoubtedly be sharper.

I have a couple of offers now that should pan out to something, thanks everybody. Though if anyone has something faster, like a 5.6 or 4.5 they want to get rid of, let me know.

Yes, that's where I'd be spending $200 on a 500 5.6 -- I want to spend less to see what I think of mirrors.

I'm looking to fool around with a mirror lens and see if I can make it

I'm not picky about focal length, speed or condition, provided it is
inexpensive. I'd need something in either K mount or m42.

I'm also willing to pay more for a faster one. What I'm trying to
determine for myself is whether or not I want to pay $200 for a 500mm
f5.6 mirror.

Let me know what'cha got or if you have any heads-ups for me. I've
seen a lot of 500mm f8s on eBay in the $100 range, which is too much
for a lens that I probably wouldn't use after testing.
