How would you compare the resolution of the Pentax 67 and istD? With
Velvia 100F, for example?

I'm not Rob, but compared to the *istDS2 there's really not much of a comparison. From a Polaroid Sprintscan 120, I get a 48 bit file that's over 10,000 pixels across, more than triple the size of the file from the *ist and with a much greater range of tones. With colour negative the tonal range can be extreme, and you need to throw a lot of it away to make a good-looking print. Virtually all of my Prague stuff was NPZ 800, and it appears grainless at 24x36 until you get your nose up to the print.

Stuff I did previously on the *istD and *istDS made fine 8x10 prints, but they weren't the same. I didn't try to make 24x36s like I did of my 67 stuff, and I really don't think I even want to try.

I was printing the Prague stuff recently -- I can make some example jpegs if that would help you figure out what you want to figure out.
