I'm not Rob, and I've never owned a pentax 6x7. However, I have shot a few 6x7 rolls in my day, using slide film, and there is no comparison between the results from a 6x7 negative and that from the current lineup of Pentax DSLR's. The big negative wins hands down wrt tonality and detail and subtlety.
FWIW, I processed Rob's negs from a trip he took a few years ago. He was using a Mamiya 6x7 rangefinder for some of the negs. Gorgeous! Some time try shooting a landscape with a 6x9 .... compare those results to a DSLR <ROTFL> Shel > [Original Message] > From: Jack Davis > How would you compare the resolution of the Pentax 67 and istD?
