When I was a kid we were driving to a relatives place south of Perth at night.
Driving...driving...driving...BAM! A kangaroo decided to jump across the road just as we were passing by at about 80km/h. For the rest of that cars life it had a huge dent in the drivers side door. I've also seen a few 'roos that were badly hurt on the side of the road.
