Incorrect assumption, I work at a College, self governed, run like a business, it has to be economically viable. It's a "Beacon" college because we regularly run in the top five in the counrty. I prefer backwards compatibility, good value and quality to charging down the road of disposable everything. I still beleive I made the right choice in 1979 when I chose a Pentax camera (MX), if I had chosen C***n I would have replaced all my equipment at least once by now if I remained with them. There is nothing wrong with a technology that continues to work after 30 years.
