Say you have a picture of a camera body and you want to make an out line

that body. Is there a way to extract say a mm or mm and a bit of the
outside edge or do you just
trace around it with the pencil tool and clean up the edges with transform
or such.
I won't be around a computer with PS on it for a day or two, so i thought
i best ask incase i start
off doing something the hard way first.<g>
Put the camera on a white background and photograph it.
Do a magic wand selection of the background, invert the selection and cut
the camera out.
Stroke what's left behind with a several pixel stroke and you should have
it.
