Maybe, maybe not.  In the consumer products business, Samsung is on the way
up and Sony is on the way down compared to a few years ago.  On the other
hand, one could argue that KM is "out of the market" right now, but the same
could almost be said of Pentax.  All of their SLRs are derived from the
*ist-D, which is decidedly dated compared to the latest Canon and Nikon
offerings.
