Nothing would surprise me but my prediction is that Sony will be the new Canon in regards to profitability in the DSLR industry. They can restrict or delay OEM sales of new high performance sensors and like Canon they will be able to ensure high profit per unit sale by using their own sensors and periperal VLSIs.
