Hi Rob, Hope all is well. I managed to buy a pretty good "user" sample of the 35-105 yesterday. The measurements are the same as those taken by Jens: 1mm (approx 1/32" and 1/2) at 35mm and 11mm (3/8" and 1/2 - is it correct to say it this way?) at 105mm. A side note: this one appear to keep the focus when changing focal lenght (at least, when you set the focus at 105, which is definitely more accurate, and zoom back to 35mm). For a brief period, not long ago, I had a mint 35-105 sample that did lose the focus setting when changing the focal lenght, no matter which way I tried to set it.
