I tested my 67mm filter on the istD and 16-45 F4 on friday. I could see JUST enough of the scene in the finder that composing was not a big deal. Full sunny day.

Today i put the 62mm filter on the D1 and 35-70 f2.8 and i could JUST barely make out something in the finder. I could not tell what.Wonder why the big difference.

Both cameras AF's ok(still need to comfirm on the computer, but it focused on something.) and i shot the D1 in B&W mode, using Tv priority. 1/20 second at f2.8 iso 400, 1/50 second at f5.6 at iso 1600

Both test shots were of the same parking lot, full sun, and i know you cannot tell any thing from the lcd screens, but the D1 in B&W mode looks more "ir-ery" than my ist D conversion.

I'll look at it tonight, but i know what i'm shooting at GFM now.<vbg>
