If you use AF most of the time, you'll hardly know the difference.
The DS viewfinder is a little larger and a bit brighter, which makes
it easier to use manual focus. Also, the DS viewfinder has
interchangeable focusing screens which allows me to use a retical
scale or grid patterned focusing screen for when alignment issues are
important.
If I had the choice between the two bodies, I'd pick the DS on the
strength of its viewfinder.
