I'm not Frank (duh), but I'd like to weigh in on this one. If I know that I'm going to be in a situation where I may not be able select my distance from the subject (zoo, sports, etc.), or if I'm chasing the kids around the yard, I'll go with the *ist and my two zooms. I haven't been very impressed with the quality of the zoom lenses when using slide film, so these days I'll always go with either the K1000 or the MX for chromes. I'll favor the K1000 with slower lenses since the split image focusing screen on the MX doesn't like lenses slower than f2.8. I tend to use the manual bodies for most of my photography. I also have an SP500, but the meter's off by about a stop, so I don't use it for anything critical.
I've been playing around with macro-photography using the 750z. Macro and digital really aren't my favorites, but it's fun from time to time. When I feel adventurous, I'll bring the out the Mamiya C220. Surprisingly, to me anyway, I almost never put it on a tripod. It has no built in meter, and I hate using a hand held meter, so sunny 16 it is. I get a lot of bad exposures. :S On 3/21/06, Markus Maurer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Frank > How do you decide if you use your Leica, the Pentax LX or the Pentax > Spotmatic?
