Well, that idea crossed my mind too. I do not see a 10MP sensor as their off-the-shelf product, but they do claim to supply custom CMOS sensors. I have no idea about the ability of Cypress to produce and supply good sensors. But there might be a surprise in Pentax's sleeve, you never know :-). Whatever Pentax might adopt, I hope it is better than the competitions. However, although the connection is there, at present, there seem to be no strong reason for Pentax to venture out to a new sensor supplier. 6mp sensors currently used in Pentax's line of DSLR are the same as those used by Nikon. However, I saw somewhere (perhaps dpreview?) that Pentax DSLRs' (all of them) high ISO/low noise performance is next only to Canon and Nikon models using the same sensor are way below, only the latest D50 is close to Pentax. This I believe is a remarkable achievement, and gives confidence in Pentax's ability to design excellent image processing engines. So, D200's banding issue aside, Pentax should do better even if they may be using the same Sony CCDs as Nikon are now using. I certainly hope so. Cheers, Ken
