When I was shooting 67's and having the film processed and proofed at
my local wedding lab, the total cost of film/develop/proof was about
$1.35 per frame. Certainly not too cheap. The other problem around
here was that labs all switched over to digital equipment, so even
though my lab had all the masks and lenses to print the 67 negs, they
were using the crappy scanners on the Agfa D-Lab, so once you got past
a 12 X 18, the image quality started to suffer because of the scan.
Getting a good scan to print bigger was very costly. This cost and
changeover of the local labs was one of the reasons I started to look
into digital. I can only guess that the situation is even worse 2 1/2
years later.
