All part of the process and I agree: it is very tough, particularly once you get to the "20 out of the last 30" stage.

I generally look at my photos immediately after taking them, set a couple of markers as to what I like or don't like. Then I don't look at them for several months before going back. My preferences invariably change a bit. Once I get to the process of editing down for a show, the work really starts in earnest.
